Terms and conditions
1.1 To partake in the seminar series “KFO/Orthodontics from the practice, to the practice“ by CS Orthodontic Seminars GmbH (“seminar management”) registration via an application form provided online is required. By confirmation in writing the registration is validated and a seminar place is reserved for you.
1.2. To ensure the best possible quality of our seminars, seminar series and training courses the number of participants is limited. The allocation of seminar places is effected on the basis of the applications’ dates of receipt.
1.3. The seminar program “KFO/Orthodontics from the practice, to the practice“ is composed of 9 constructing units. Participation at short notice in the individual units, as far as vacancies exist, requires prior consultation of the seminar management. 2.1. Total Payment
If the full seminar fee is paid no later than 14 days before the beginning of the course (Module 1), a discount of 8% of the course fee will be granted.
2.2. Partial payment + down payment
If the partial payment option is chosen, a discount of 5% of the course fee will be granted.
Deposit at the registration of the seminar series - 10% of the course fee
1st partial payment at the latest 14 days before module 1 - 30% of the course fee
2nd partial payment at the latest 14 days before module 3 - 30% of the course fee
3rd partial payment at the latest 14 days before module 5 - 30% of the course fee
2.3. Individual Modules
When registering for individual modules, an invoice is created for the respective module.
Term of payment: 14 days after date of invoice.
3.1. Refusal: the seminar management may withdraw from the contract and cancel the seminar for cause, reasons in particular being not enough participants (as assessed by the management), or other causes such as illness, insoluble conflicting schedule, force majeure etc. In this case, amounts paid for participation and materials will be reimbursed entirely. Any further claims of damage and/or performance resulting from a refusal, including frustrated expenses, are precluded mutually.
3.2. Alteration of the lecturer or the time schedule: the seminar management reserves the right to replace the lecturer and/or modify the program of the seminar. Such modifications do not entitle participants to terminate the contract, reduce the seminar fee or to claim damages.
4.1. Participants may cancel their registration. When registration is confirmed, participants may withdraw from the seminar
– until 3 months prior to the commencement of the seminar without charges,
– against payment of a cancellation fee (so-called “forfeit money” as laid down in § 909 ABGB) of 90% of the seminar fee until 1 month prior to the beginning of the seminar.
4.2. Cancellations are to be directed to the seminar management in written form or by e mail. The material is the reception of the letter of resignation by the seminar management (firstname.lastname@example.org).
4.3. If the resignation is not made in due time or the participant does not attend the seminar at all or in part, the payment obligation shall remain unaffected. Absence from individual units (as a whole or in part) does not entitle to a reduction of the seminar fee.
4.4. The participants may announce a substitute. In this case, the initial participant shall remain contractually obligated and liable for the payment of the seminar fee, unless it is paid by the substitute participant.
Seminar management may exclude a participant from the seminar for legitimate reasons (eg arrears, disruption of the course, unauthorized dissemination of handed out documents). In this case, payment obligations shall remain unaffected.
Seminar management reserves all rights, in particular translating, reprinting and reproducing (extracts from) the seminar and training documents. Any use (of extracts), especially the transfer to third parties or for educational purposes, requires, without exception, prior written consent of the seminar management. Any video or audio recording is prohibited. Image recording is permitted for private use only.
7.1. In case of refusal or postponement of the seminar series/ individual units due to illness of the lecturer, force majeure or other unforeseen events, participants do not have a claim to performance. Claims of damage and/or loss, including loss of earnings, loss of profit and duties of replacement towards third parties, are generally excluded.
7.2. If not excluded in general, liability for damages caused by the seminar management or its agents shall be limited to cases of intent or gross negligence. For the avoidance of any doubt it is declared that the seminar management bears no responsibility for any loss of goods or other things of value kept in the premises of the seminar by the participants.
Every dispute between the participant, of the one part, and the seminar management, of the other part, relating to the seminar series “KFO/Orthodontics from the practice, to the practice“, including the conclusion of the contract, shall be governed by Austrian law only, excluding its conflict of law rules. It is understood that all disputes mentioned shall fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the court of Vienna, which has jurisdiction ratione materiae.
There are no collateral agreements between the participant and the seminar management. Alterations of and supplements to this conditions must be in writing or via e-mail to be effective. The same holds true for the waiver of the requirement of written form.
Organizer of the seminar series “KFO/Orthodontics from the practice, to the practice“ is the CS Orthodontic Seminars GmbH, FN423043y, Hauptplatz 3, 3430 Tulln.
By signing up for the seminar series the participant agrees to editing and processing personal data for purposes of course and exam execution as well as to sendings of information letters relating to professional education and development.
In the event of the partial or complete invalidity of individual provisions of this agreement or the application of these provisions, or in case they contain a gap, the remainder of the agreement shall remain unaffected. In such event the parties undertake to mutually replace such provision with a valid or applicable provision which shall as far as possible be in accordance with the economic and contractual purpose of the provision to be replaced.
13.1. Participants of the seminar series “KFO/Orthodontics from the practice, to the practice“ commit to conscientiously follow the course plan and educational instructions. The more orthodontic cases are dealt with in practice simultaneously, the more knowledge will be acquired by participating in the seminar program.
13.2. The seminar series “KFO/Orthodontics from the practice, to the practice“ precisely imparts knowledge both on a theoretical and a practical basis as described in the syllabus, and thereby accomplishing the training objective. The more case studies from the participants own practice are discussed and diagnosed together, the better the acquired knowledge will be applied afterwards. To ensure maximum benefit for all participants, case study related documents are accepted in digitalised version only (preferably on a USB flash drive). Ideally, they shall include:
– all pictures of teeth and profile available before treatment and during progress;
– pictures of models from the beginning and the progress as well as cephalometric and panoramic radiographs (the former need not be traced)
